Energy Support Solutions was built on two different perspectives of the same problem

Paul spent 10 years working in commercial energy brokerage and Climate Change Levy. He understands how contracts are structured, how commissions are applied, how billing works, and where errors happen. He’s seen the system from the inside.

Jaydee spent years working within the not-for-profit sector. She saw first-hand how tightly managed budgets are, how funding decisions are scrutinised, and how even relatively small sums can make a meaningful difference to services on the ground.

ESS came from putting those two experiences together and asking a simple question: why are organisations still paying charges they don’t owe?

Between us, we’ve got a decade in commercial energy and years in the not-for-profit sector.

How that shapes how we work

We think energy billing should be understandable, commission structures should be visible, and exemptions should be applied correctly. If something isn’t justified, we won’t push it forward.

We’ve advised clients not to proceed where a claim wasn’t right, and we’ve turned down work that would have paid us but wouldn’t have been honest. We start with correction and clarity. Procurement follows where it makes sense.

We wanted to build something we’d trust if we were on the other side of the conversation.

Looking ahead

We’ll grow ESS through trusted introducers, referrals, and reputation. We’re keeping overheads low and staying close to the work rather than building layers between us and our clients.

We cover the UK and Northern Ireland, and we’re not moving away from the model that got us here. Fixed commission. Honest advice. Specialist CCL work done properly.

What we want is simple: businesses and not-for-profits spending their money where it makes a difference.
