In many energy contracts, the broker decides how much they add to your unit rate. On electricity, that can be up to around 3p per kWh. On gas, up to around 1.5p per kWh. The commission is built into the rate you pay, and it often varies from client to client depending on what the broker thinks they can get away with.
Because it sits inside the unit rate, you can't easily see how much of your price is wholesale energy and how much is brokerage. If you can't see how your broker is paid, you don't really know your energy price.
That's the standard model across the market. We don't think it's good enough.
We apply a transparent, flat, consistent uplift across every client:
That's it. These figures don't change based on contract size, negotiation, or who you are. Every client pays the same structure, and you can see it before you agree to anything. There are no hidden margins added later.
We keep it fixed because it keeps things honest. A consistent uplift means our income isn't linked to inflating your rate. You know exactly what you're paying for brokerage, and you can calculate the impact from the outset.
Send us a recent bill. We’ll take it from there.
The energy industry has trained businesses to accept that broker commissions are invisible. Most organisations don't question it because they don't know there's anything to question.
We think you should know exactly what you're paying and why.
Not because we're trying to make a point, but because it's how we'd want to be treated. That's the principle behind everything we do.
